To ensure the safest and most positive virtual event experience, all Participants, including attendees, speakers, and sponsors, of the “SIM Women Leadership Summit” are required to adhere to our code of conduct. EFM Events and SIM Women (hereby referred to as Hosts) will enforce this policy throughout the event to allow everyone the opportunity to connect and collaborate in an appropriate and respectful way. All Participants acknowledge and agree to the following:
a) Mutual Respect. These events will include vulnerable moments for speakers and attendees. Please demonstrate mutual respect and be open to learning. Welcome people as they are and keep personal details confidential.
b) Virtual Meeting Etiquette. Mute yourself when you are not speaking and stop your video if you leave your computer. Use the chat or Q&A features for questions and comments as appropriate.
c) Disruptive Conduct. Hosts reserve the right to remove any Participant from the Event if either host, in its sole discretion, determines that a presence or behavior creates a disruption, impedes the execution of, or negatively impacts the experience of the Event for other Participants.
d) Harassment. Harassment includes offensive verbal, non-verbal, or written comments related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, or religion (or lack thereof). Hosts do not tolerate the harassment of Participants in any form, including anything communicated during the content of the Event, on social media, or via any other online channels. This includes but is not limited to sexual language and imagery, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants who are asked to cease any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a Participant engages in harassing behavior, Hosts may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender, expulsion from the event with no refund, and reporting an incident to authorities.
e) Photography, Recording, Live Streaming, Videotaping, and Media. Attendees may not record or broadcast audio or video of sessions or session content from the SIM Women Leadership Summit. All content was strictly developed for the sole use in the SIM Women Leadership Summit and cannot be leveraged elsewhere. Unauthorized use will be prosecuted.
f) Unethical/Non-Compliant Marketing. Hosts reserve the right to deny admission to anyone who engages in or is reputed to engage in unethical or non-compliant marketing practices.
Hosts may exclude any prospective attendee from registering for or attending the SIM Women Leadership Summit at either host’s sole discretion. We created these parameters to ensure a successful event for our attendees, speakers, and sponsors.
